This residency is an ASHP-accredited program focused on developing the specialized skills necessary to practice as an individual in oncology pharmacy. Graduates will possess competencies that enable attainment of board certification in the practice area (i.e., BCOP) and will be prepared to enter clinical practice or assume a faculty role within a college of pharmacy. The resident will be involved with management of various malignant solid tumors and lymphomas, acute and chronic leukemias, stem cell transplant patients, dosing/preparation/monitoring of all chemotherapeutic agents and appropriate supportive cancer care. The resident will have involvement in clinical research, a service project, and teaching.
