In this role, you must collaborate with all types of health care professionals, support staff and management, and consider all components of the medication-use process in all settings of healthcare (e.g., inpatient, clinic, community pharmacies, drug distribution centers) in order to improve medication safety for the system. The medication safety leader’s role includes responsibility for leadership, medication safety expertise, influencing practice change, research, and education. Additionally, you will work with Chief Pharmacy Officer, AVP of Pharmacies and Corporate Vice President of Quality and Accreditation to develop a vision of an ideal state of medication use system for the organization.
Doctorate Degree required.
7 years of experience required.
Florida Board of Pharmacy license (or eligible) that is active and in good standing.
Residency training highly desirable.
Experience and/or formalize training in medication safety and quality/performance improvement highly desirable.
