Cone Health is seeking a highly motivated oncology trained pharmacist to focus on providing ORAL ONCOLOGY CARE in an established progressive ambulatory clinic practice.
Successful candidates will collaborate with outpatient oncology providers to provide comprehensive medication and education plans for patients seen within the clinic setting while offering unsurpassed health care experiences to our patients, healthcare providers, and our community.
The major work activities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with outpatient oncology providers to provide comprehensive medication and education plans for patients seen within the Cone Health Cancer Center on the Wesley Long Hospital campus.
Manage drug regimens by approved protocols in consultation with providers.
Ensure efficient medication use by serving medication related distributional and administrative functions within the clinic and coordinating care with Cone Health Specialty Pharmacy or other outside pharmacies as necessary.
Assist patient advocates in completion of insurance prior authorizations and complete insurance appeals as necessary to ensure the best care possible is accessible to each oncology patient.
Demonstrate ownership for the welfare of the patient in managing transitions of care.
Participate in professional associations and actively contribute to the literature through publications, presentations and the education of the community on disease state management.
Serve as a scholarly expert, mentor, preceptor and/or residency program director (if applicable) while providing interdisciplinary and pharmacy department medication related education to a variety of learners (i.e. students, interns, residents and clinic team members).

Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and prior completion of a PGY1 ASHP accredited residency.
ASHP Accredited PGY2 oncology pharmacy residency or equivalent work experience.
Board of Speciality Certification in Oncology (BCOP)
