The 12-month PGY2 Neurology Pharmacy Residency Program is designed to develop and refine clinical, leadership, research, performance improvement, and teaching skills within the practice of neurology. Training focuses on a full range of neurologic disease states, disorders, and procedures, along with the evidence supporting the medication management of neurologic conditions.
The program is intentionally designed with the appropriate amount of flexibility to meet the individual needs and career focus of the resident. Rotations are designed to ensure experience is gained with the highest acuity patients in each sub-specialty area. Clinical knowledge needed to obtain board certification within the practice specialty is provided. Graduates are able to conduct research independently in the neurology environment and should be confident educators in the multidisciplinary and pharmacy training environment.
Candidates applying to the PGY2 Neurology Pharmacy Residency Program must have:
1. Successfully completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency or plan to successfully complete a pharmacy practice residency by the program start date.
2. Hold an active pharmacist license in the state of Georgia or be eligible to hold an active pharmacist license in the state of Georgia by the program start date.
