VCU Health System is seeking a medication safety-trained, clinical pharmacist for an opening as the Medication Safety Officer. Preference is for candidates with formal medication safety training, especially a PGY2 Medication Safety residency.
VCU Health System is a 779 bed academic medical center, in historic downtown Richmond, with over 200 specialties. The Department of Pharmacy Services is integrated in patient care and actively involved with leading edge technology. This position is based in the Division of Pharmacotherapy Services, Department of Pharmacy Services, with a reporting line to Patient Safety and Quality.
VCU Health System is the primary teaching site for the Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing and Allied Health at Virginia Commonwealth University.
A PharmD degree and a PGY1 residency are required. Completion of a PGY2 residency, or practice experience in medication safety is desired.
