Some of Devereux’s scope of expertise and core service lines includes Intellectual/Developmental disabilities, Autism, Specialty Mental Health, Child Welfare and School based prevention and intervention. The Senior Vice President/Chief Pharmacy Officer (CPO) is responsible for strategic and operational oversight of all of the company’s nationwide pharmacy services, including execution of short- and long-term initiatives to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the business. Accountable for key functions such as pharmaceutical industry relations, formulary implementation, utilization management, coverage determination, and other clinical pharmacy programs, this leader is expected to partner closely with senior administration, marketing, finance, and other senior leaders to proactively align pharmacy strategy with broader business objectives targeted at maintaining our competitive position in the marketplace. As CPO, you will be charged with developing clinical and operational pharmacy programs to support all service lines. The Chief Pharmacy Officer will develop a National Pharmacy Business plan that will allow the organization to economize the national drug spend, implement cost cutting strategies, implement revenue enhancement programs, initiate medication safety and clinical pharmacy programs on a national level, develop policies and procedures and will be fully accountable for all fiscal responsibilities related to national pharmacy services.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Develop Corporate Pharmacy business model and work on new innovative distribution models.
Develop, implement, and manage clinically appropriate and cost-effective programs to help control the escalating costs of pharmaceuticals and utilization rates. Evaluate such programs after implementation to ensure corporate objectives are met.
Identify, develop, implement and provide support for new technologies and their applications to pharmacy and health care initiatives.
Develop, manage, and enhance external pharmacy relationships (i.e., retail network, manufacturers, specialty distribution services, provider organization)
Evaluate current pharmacy program and adopt and standardize best pharmacy practices across the continuum of care.
Implement cost cutting initiatives.
Evaluate new revenue streams pharmacy programs.
Research the implementation of 340b and Specialty Pharmacy programs.
Lead and manage all pharmacy-related Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, in coordination with other key stakeholders in the organization. Provide executive oversight for the accuracy of inputs from the existing pharmacy team

10+ years of experience in health care management.
Pharm.D. and/or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
MBA or Masters in Health Care Administration and/or completion of a Post Graduate Year Two Health System Pharmacy Administrative Residency.
Telecommuting is allowed. Employer will assist with relocation costs.
