The Oncology Clinical Pharmacist position at Archbold's Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center is an opportunity to build an oncology clinical pharmacy service on to a well established oncology and infusion center dispensing pharmacy. The Oncology Clinical Pharmacist would have responsibility for clinical and operational components of the service, would contribute to order set development, and would work with the providers and staff to meet the needs of oncology and infusion patients.
Hailed as the “Home for Hope,” the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center houses technology and amenities virtually nonexistent in the region, and exceptionally rare in any community, let alone Thomasville. Our comprehensive 44,000 square foot Cancer Center is home to world-class physicians, state-of-the-art treatment technology, clinical research, and patient support programs. Archbold has become a regional destination for cancer patients seeking innovative treatment and cancer clinical trials.
By providing comprehensive care under one roof, our multidisciplinary treatment approach helps us deliver cancer care in a more patient-centric and efficient manner. And, through our partnerships with Emory’s Winship Cancer Institute and multiple pharmaceutical companies, we provide access to over 250 different cancer clinical trials.
Our cancer center is accredited by the The Commission on Cancer (CoC), a program of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS). The CoC recognizes cancer care programs for their commitment to providing comprehensive, high-quality, and multidisciplinary patient centered care. The CoC is dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for cancer patients through standard-setting, prevention, research, education, and the monitoring of comprehensive quality care. Through the CoC, our cancer program has access to reporting tools to aid in benchmarking and improving outcomes as well as educational and training opportunities, development resources, and advocacy.
