While it is not necessary to visit our PPS suite for a PGY1 session, we highly encourage those candidates that are participating in PPS to visit us. We will host "mini-showcase" sessions at our PPS suite that will enable you to get a more thorough and intimate understanding of our program. Attending a PPS "mini-showcase" will also enable you to skip us at the larger Residency Showcase.
Please note that all PPS scheduling MUST be completed through the link on our website. We will NOT be utilizing the PPS scheduler.

The Brooklyn Hospital Center is Brooklyn’s oldest hospital. The Department of Pharmacy Services is a dynamic department with a progressive clinical focus. The 300+ bed facility is staffed by sixteen pharmacists, eight pharmacy practice residents, six interns, eight clinical coordinators, three clinical pharmacy educators, technicians, messengers, and a dedicated management team, the department participates in all aspects of medication safety and dispensing with state of the art computer systems and technology.
Dispensing services are achieved with a balance of professional, technical, and automated services, including a complete intravenous admixture service, TPN compounder, robotics, and full EMR. Clinically, the department maintains around-the-clock drug information and consultative services, including: pharmacokin...etic dosing, nutrition support, collaborative drug therapy ambulatory care clinics, IV to PO substitution, automatic therapeutic substitution under protocol, antimicrobial stewardship program, inpatient anticoagulation program, nutrition support service and response to all cardiac arrest calls and rapid response calls
The Brooklyn Hospital Center has a large medical residency/fellowship program in most modalities including Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Surgery, OB/Gyn, Pediatrics, Oncology Cardiology and Pulmonology. The Pharmacy Practice Residency Program consists of five PGY-1 residents, a PGY-2 resident in Infectious Diseases, and two PGY-2 residents in Ambulatory Care.
