OU Medical Center, including The Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center is Oklahoma's largest and most comprehensive hospital. Additionally, we are Oklahoma’s only Level One Trauma Center. OUMC is located in the heart of Oklahoma City, just minutes from beautiful Bricktown, the new Midtown area and the State Capital. We provide a full range of hospital services for every patient, from the smallest neonate to the most critically ill senior.
We currently have three critical care trained clinical pharmacists that work in our Medical ICUs, NeuroICU and Cardiac ICU. We are looking to expand our services to the Trauma ICU. Clinical pharmacist duties include, but are not limited to participating in daily interdisciplinary ICU rounds, developing drug therapy protocols, participating in Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, participating in clinical research with Trauma group, coordinating quality assurance audits, and conducting drug utilization reviews.
Additionally, OU Medical Center works closely with the OUHSC College of Pharmacy, therefore precepting pharmacy students and residents is a job component.
Qualified candidates must have a Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE accredited institution with a PGY2 residency or fellowship. Board certification is preferred.
