The oncology inpatient clinical pharmacist’s responsibilities will be providing comprehensive pharmacy care for solid tumor oncology services. This includes but is not limited to participating in daily interdisciplinary rounds, reviewing oncology patient chemotherapy orders, coordinating drug prescription prior authorizations, conducting discharge medication counseling and aiding with transitions of care.
Additional duties include, coordinate, develop and implement day-to-day activities to support the oncology medical service line. Conducts pharmacy in-services for pharmacy staff, physicians and nursing staff when appropriate. Participate as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents on clinical rotations from the various programs. Provide cross coverage to inpatient hem/onc and BMT clinical pharmacists colleagues.
Qualified candidates must have a Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE accredited institution with a PGY2 residency , fellowship or equivalent experience in oncology.
