Seeking Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist! Pharmacy
Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area Baptist Health Floyd
In this role, you will assist in providing patient centered care services to include advising physicians on matters pertaining to drug usage and control within the Emergency Department setting; participate in the development of continuing education for Pharmacy, Patient Care Services, and Medical staff, residents, ancillary staff and students. To provide high quality patient centered care services with a focus on quality measures. To supervise daily activities of support personnel. To promote cost-effective drug use and quality patient care. To improve professional skills and knowledge. Perform all job functions in a professional manner.
• Opportunity to work in a Regional, Non-Profit Hospital • Opportunity to work in part of a multi-disciplinary team • Opportunity to work for an organization that promotes continued education • Oversee technicians performing medication reconciliation in the ED • To expand the clinical role of the pharmacist in the ED • Provide pharmaceutical care to ED patients • Days Vary, 2nd shift, Every 3rd Weekend
• Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy • Must hold current Indiana license • American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers required • American Heart Association ACLS certification (obtained within 12 months of hire) • Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency is required • BCPS or other advanced certification is preferred
• Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY2 residency in emergency medicine is preferred
• Lift and transport 15-20 lbs. • ED Pharmacist Clinical Specialist and/or pharmacist with ED practice experience is preferred
