Clinical Assistant Professor, Advanced Pharmacy Practice (1209)

Primary Purpose Co-funded position between Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) and Idaho State University College of Pharmacy (ISUCOP).
To maintain a clinical practice site at EIRMC in adult medicine for the purpose of providing advanced pharmacy practice experiences (APPE) for up to 16 students per year completing the professional PharmD program. Involvement with APPE student pharmacists will overlap with EIRMC clinical responsibilities. There will also be didactic teaching responsibilities, including module course coordination/teaching, case studies small group facilitation, P4 seminar evaluation, student advising, introductory pharmacy practice experience (IPPE) precepting, and interprofessional course offerings. Service to the College and University is also expected as well as is an active scholarship/research program. This position will require travel between Pocatello (ISU COP) and Idaho Falls (EIRMC) on a regular basis.
EIRMC clinical responsibilities including involvement in the EIRMC pharmacy residency program (50%)
Didactic teaching, including course coordination (20%)
APPE student teaching/clinical teaching (20%)
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
Completion of an accredited PGY1 residency program
Eligibility for pharmacist licensure in Idaho
Evidence of scholarly activity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desire to move the profession forward through innovative clinical practice
Residency experience in adult internal medicine setting
Work experience in adult internal medicine setting
