University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center is currently seeking an Oncology Pharmacist! The Pharmacist will support the clinics and infusion pharmacy at the Cancer Center and support the inpatient adult oncology services located at the University of New Mexico Hospital on a rotating basis. While staffing in the inpatient adult oncology units, the Pharmacist is a member of the oncology team and rounds on a daily basis. The Pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing chemotherapy orders for accuracy, interacting professionally with providers, and ensuring patients are being treated safely.
Licensed Pharmacist in State of New Mexico or obtain within 90 days
CPR Certification for Healthcare/BLS Providers or for Professional Rescuers or must obtain within 30 calendar days of date of position
Graduate Pharmacist from an accredited College of Pharmacy. MS Pharm, PharmD, Pharmcotherapy Board Certified; or within 3 years is preferred.
Pharmacy experience in a community or hospital pharmacy as a licensed pharmacist or intern as determined by review committee is preferred.
NM Chemotherapy Certification preferred
