CLINICAL MANAGER - FULL TIME, MCLAREN FLINT, MCLAREN HEALTH CARE, FLINT, MI
Hours: This is a full time 40 hour a week exempt position. A typical work schedule is Monday through Friday: the pharmacy hours of operation are 24/7.
About the Facility: McLaren Flint is a nonprofit, 378 bed tertiary teaching hospital located in Flint, Michigan. McLaren is affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine's medical residency programs, including family medicine, internal medicine, general surgery, orthopedic surgery and radiology. Management of the pharmacy is by Pharmacy Systems, Inc. (PSI). This position is an employee of PSI and will have available the company's clinical tools and resources.
As a Clinical Manager, at McLaren Flint you will utilize your clinical knowledge and lead a strong clinical team in a progressive healthcare environment to lead the clinical pharmacy programs. The hospital has served as a teaching facility Responsibilities Include: Leading clinical pharmacy programs and services: Developing drug policy to support optimal pharmaceutical care: Assess, develop, coordinate, implement, and maintain clinical pharmacy programs and services: Develop and implement an Annual Clinical Plan with Director of Pharmacy and the Regional Director of Clinical Service: Provide leadership role in the development and maintenance of drug policy that promotes optimal cost effective pharmaceutical care for all patients: Contribute to development and maintenance of clinically relevant tools to support clinical programs and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
As a Clinical Manager, at McLaren Flint you will serve to leader of clinical pharmacy programs and services, develop a strong clinical team in a progressive healthcare environment and hospital which serves as a teaching facility. Responsibilities Include: developing and maintenance of a drug policy to support optimal pharmaceutical care and promotes optimal cost effectiveness for all patients; assess, develop, coordinate, implement, and maintenance of clinically relevant tools to support clinic, Requirements: Pharm D with 1-3 years clinical management experience within a Health System. MI license in good standing or license eligible. PGY1, PGY2 Residency through ASHP Accredited program or three years of clinical pharmacy experience Preferred. Practical work experience and ability to apply knowledge of Antimicrobial Stewardship in a hospital inpatient setting Preferred. Hospital Requirements: May be required in addition to CPS onboarding., Requirements:
• Pharm D or MS with at least one year of Clinical Management experience preferred.
• MI license in good standing or license eligible.
• PGY1, PGY2 Residency through ASHP Accredited program or three years of clinical pharmacy experience Preferred.
