STAFF PHARMACIST - FULL TIME NEOSHO MEMORIAL REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER CHANUTE, KS
Hours: This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week which consists of working 2 to 3 nine-hour day shifts from 7:30am-5:00pm during the week and every other weekend from 7:30am-12:00noon in the pharmacy. There will also be several remote order entry shifts from 5:00pm-10:00m during the week and several on-call shifts when the pharmacy is closed.
As a full time Staff Pharmacist with Comprehensive Pharmacy Services at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center you will oversee all pharmacy operations at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center, including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. This pharmacy has a 340B program and remote pharmacy services when the pharmacy is closed.
About the Facility: Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital that serves a five-county area in southeast Kansas. The average daily census at this hospital is usually at capacity and services an elderly population, with services including ER, Cardiac Rehab, Imaging Services, Orthopedics, Occupational and Physical Therapy, Outpatient Services, Women's Health Center and Sleep Lab.
Pharmacy: Pharmacy automation includes Pyxis MedStation 3500, Pyxis Connect, and Cerner Pharmacy Software. The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5 pm, and from 7:30 am to noon on Saturdays and Sundays. Remote entry is performed by pharmacists from 5:00pm-10:00pm during the week and a remote service from 10:00pm-7:30am. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services manages the day to day operations of the pharmacy and all pharmacy staff are employed by CPS.
