Manages all activities related to pharmaceutical management within the Pharmacy Department. Enforces rules and regulations of the hopital and department. Develops, implements, and revises departmental policies and procedures. Assures the efficient delivery of quality medications and IV products and services to all patients. Develops all training for Pharmacy personnel. Performs annual performance reviews. Ensures that department is professionally maintained and ensures compliance with state, federal, and TJC regulations and standards. Develops and evaluates all Controlled Substance distributive procedures and assures compliance with such. Responsibile for overseeing Pharmaceutical inventory. Supervises Pharmacy Supervisors, Pharmacists, and Supportive personnel. Reports to the Director of Pharmacy.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate Pharmacy Degree preferred.
Five (5) years of hospital experience required.
Three (3) years supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
Interpersonal and leadership skills required.
Good organizational skills preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Current Florida Registered Pharmacist licensure required.
