Our pharmacy residency in critical care is a 12-month, full-time, post graduate year two (PGY2) training program. The critical care pharmacy residency will expose you to challenging and diverse patient populations across multiple ICU settings.
The primary goals of the DHMC PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Program are to:
Incorporate you as part of a multidisciplinary team to improve care of ICU patients
Offer a diverse amount of experiences, allowing you to gain exposure to a variety of traditional and non-traditional critical care settings
Prepare you to enter the workforce as a clinical specialist, faculty member, or in a leadership role
Offer a flexible program, allowing you to explore individual interest areas
Prepare you to take BCCCP upon graduation from the program
Applicant must be a graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited degree program (or one in process of pursuing accreditation)
The applicant must be participating in, or have completed, an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency program or one in the ASHP accreditation process (i.e., one with candidate or preliminary accreditation status)
