The PGY-2 pharmacogenetics residency is an ASHP-accredited program that focuses on implementing pharmacogenetics into clinical practice. The resident works closely with the established UF Health Precision Medicine Program and plays a central role in clinical implementation and patient care for pharmacogenetic services across a broad range of practice settings, including primary care, psychiatry, gastroenterology, oncology, cardiology, and informatics. Residents in their second-year of postgraduate training gain valuable experience to prepare them for careers in academia, clinical practice or industry.
Graduate from an ACPE-accredited college of school of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree
Completion of an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Practice (PGY-1) Residency or commensurate experience (must demonstrate proof of ASHP PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Exemption approval)
Florida Pharmacist license in good standing; or eligibility for such
