Ambulatory Off-site Operations Manager
Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Manager
The Ambulatory Off-site Operations Manager will serve as a member of the pharmacy leadership team. The manager will oversee pharmacy operations in three off-site pharmacies located in a rural health clinic, a women’s health/IVF/REI specialty clinic and a multispecialty clinic facility with retail, infusion and clinical pharmacy services provided. Additionally, s/he will serve as the pharmacy liaison with community and outreach clinics for medication management issues.
The Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Manager will serve as a member of the pharmacy leadership team. S/he will oversee pharmacists working in ambulatory clinics within the health system, participate on multidisciplinary teams to advance clinical services and achieve population health initiatives, and work with the Specialty Pharmacy Manager to support URAC activities. The manager will also help facilitate educational activities for pharmacy students and residents.
Doctor of Pharmacy degree or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy
Current or eligible for Iowa Pharmacist licensure.
Completion of a PGY1/2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency or minimum of five years of experience working in a complex pharmacy environment. Alternative residency training with or without related experience will be evaluated as acceptable alternatives.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Master of Science in pharmacy or healthcare/management related advanced degree such as an MHA, MPH or MBA.
Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification
Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency in Ambulatory Care
Experience with automation/technology, human resources management, project management and Epic electronic health record.
