The PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership/M.S. program is a twenty-four month program. Successful candidates will also obtain a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy’s Social and Administrative Pharmacy graduate program through both experiential and didactic experiences. There are two residency positions. One resident will be based at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center and one at Fairview Pharmacy Services. The position at Fairview Pharmacy Services has an emphasis on ambulatory and transitional care administration and the position at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center has an emphasis on acute care.

Management experiences include human resources, financial management, contract management, supply chain, technology, and pharmacy operations and leadership. Each resident’s individual interests and skill development needs are assessed and considered during the program. Two major projects are required for the fulfillment of the master’s degree.
