Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania is recruiting for PGY2 specialty residency positions in the areas of oncology, critical care, and hospital system pharmacy administration & leadership. The positions are 12-month positions. The oncology residency is accredited through ASHP. The program offers experiential opportunities with medical oncology, hematology/BMT, stem cell transplant, ambulatory chemotherapy infusion clinic, oral chemotherapy clinic, pediatric hematology/oncology, neuro- oncology, gynecology oncology, palliative medicine and infectious disease. The critical care residency program was new for 2020 and will be undergoing accreditation in 2021. Residents in critical care will gain experience in managing various levels of adult and pediatric critical care needs, emergency medicine practice, acute oncologic crises, and post-ICU ambulatory care clinics. The hospital system pharmacy administration & leadership (HSPAL) residency program will be interviewing for its first resident to start in July 2021. This is a one-time recruitment for a PGY2 resident as this will be a PGY1/PGY2, 2-year program after the 2021 recruitment year. Residents in the HSPAL program will gain experience in traditional hospital and health-system leadership as well as ambulatory care services (clinic-based, telehealth, retail, mail order, specialty, and home infusion) and health plan management. All PGY2 residency positions offer opportunities in committee and department meetings, research presentations, and student and PGY1 teaching and precepting.
