Cleveland Clinic's Department of Pharmacy is currently recruiting highly motivated pharmacists in the therapeutic areas of stroke, neurosurgery, and general neurology. The Cleveland Clinic is nationally ranked for Neurology and Neurosurgery and our pharmacy services provide an exciting environment for high quality patient care with an incredibly complex population. Daily responsibilities include participation in multidisciplinary teaching rounds, therapeutic drug monitoring, minimization of safety issues, ensuring cost effective pharmacotherapy plans, and medication reconciliation.
Qualifications include Doctorate of Pharmacy with PGY1 residency or minimum of two years of hospital pharmacy experience as well as eligibility for pharmacist licensure in the State of Ohio.
The Cleveland Clinic critical care services provide an exciting environment for high quality patient care with one of the highest acuity patient populations in the nation. The qualified candidate will collaborate with other caregivers to ensure optimal pharmacotherapy for critically ill patients. Daily responsibilities will include participation in multidisciplinary teaching rounds, therapeutic drug monitoring, minimization of safety issues and ensuring cost effective pharmacotherapy plans. Each position has an evening and weekend requirement.
Practice Model/Patient Population
Daily rounds with Stroke or General Neurology Service
Daily profile review for Neurosurgery patients
Rotate Neurology evening coverage one of every 6 evenings and weekend Neurology coverage one of every 6 weekends
Regular rotation through centralized positions is an expectation of the role
Responsibilities for precepting APPE students and pharmacy residents
Expectation to lead or contribute to projects and research and serve as pharmacy representative on appropriate committees
