Summary
Under the auspices of the clinical/operations manager, the clinical pharmacist is responsible for assuring the needs of patients are meets. Assures the prompt and accurate delivery of medications and supervises the work of supportive personnel. Reviews patient medication profiles for appropriateness of therapy. Performs clinical/pharmaceutical interventions as assigned. Acts as a drug information resource person to patients, medical and nursing staff and ancillary department personnel. Supervises pharmacy interns and students. Actively participates in department performance improvement activities. May be required to assume responsibilities of a pharmacy supervisor/charge-supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy required, Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree preferred.
Experience
Previous hospital and clinical experience in an acute setting preferred. Interpersonal and leadership skills preferred. Good organizational skills preferred. Basic computer skills required.
License
Current registered pharmacist license in the State of Florida required.
Certification
Residency Preferred
Candidates in unit have priority based on unit seniority
