You Will Be Responsible For:

Pharmacy Operations

Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency in:

• Standard work parameters

• Operational programs

• Delivery and compounding systems

• Hospital computer systems

• Medication ordering systems

Maintains operational expertise in and actively provides coverage of the technician services provided by

• Central Pharmacy

Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems

• Accurately interprets electronic records

• Maintains expertise in Cerner processes

Accurately oversees the management of medication inventories and the preparation and delivery of patientâspecific medication doses

• Manages medication delivering activities

• Prepares accurate medication products for delivery

• Prevents improper drug, dose, dosage form selection, expiration dating, and barcode scanning issues when checking products

Pharmacy Practice

Facilitates medication safety practices

• Identifies, mitigates, and reports potential medication errors such as lookâalike sound-alike medications

Maintains continuous learning and pharmacy practice development

• Maintains personal continuing education plan including documentation of an annual selfâevaluation and plan for self-development

• Completes CE modules as part of Pharmacy Technician licensure renewal

Provides patientâcentered care services

• Provides accurate, safe and timely medication therapy

Clinical Pharmacy Services

Supports practice in decentralized areas

• • Collaborates with other pharmacy staff

Teamwork and Inter-Professional Collaboration

Presents to assigned areas on time, ready to work and does not exhibit unscheduled absenteeism

• • Adheres to lunch and break schedule

Assures continuity of care between shifts, among pharmacy staff assignments, and across pharmacy practice areas
