POSITION SUMMARY
The individual in this position will assist in preparing, packaging, delivering, and charging of medications, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Position duties include the following activities: � fill and label medications � stock medications into pharmacy inventory � restock automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) � maintain adequate medication stock levels and proper storage of medications � deliver medications to patient care areas � attend to medication requests and phone calls � prepare IV sterile admixture solutions and IV products � assist in Pharmacy quality assurance activities � comply with state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission standards and Tenet and hospital policies and procedures � assist pharmacists in performing various duties as assigned

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent GED
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of hospital pharmacy experience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred. IV experience preferred. Good organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and basic computer skills preferred.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Licensed in the State of Arizona as a Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Technician certification.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above average pressure. Must have basic computer skills. Excellent customer service skills. Must be willing to work in all areas of the pharmacy services as assigned. Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with team members required.
