The Sourcing Director of Pharmacy attracts, develops and engages a multidisciplinary team to conduct supply chain sourcing operations. The Sourcing Director of Pharmacy leads a cross functional team in the development and implementation of strategic sourcing programs for identified areas. The successful hire will be responsible for identifying and driving changes to adapt services strategically in support of current and future needs of Cleveland Clinic.
Manages and ensures projects are on track and that they meet the missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
Resolves or assists in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas.
Monitors project area progress and provides corrective supervision, if necessary.
Maintains the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationship with vendor representatives, conducts business according to established principles and guidelines.
Manages project budget and resource allocation.
Accountable for the development and implementation of practices, policies and procedures in functional areas of the department.
Enables leaders to move decision making through the organization to develop caregivers and accomplish unit priorities.
Focuses and guides leaders and employees in accomplishing work objectives; holding high expectations for self and others.
Establishes systems and processes to attract, develop, engage and retain talented leaders.
Creates a work environment where people can realize their full potential in order to meet current and future clinical and business challenges.
Determines resource allocation and staffing levels in conjunction with respective leaders. Provides direction on staff and capacity planning to meet current and future needs of the department.
Maintains knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory and administrative requirements relative to departmental operations and ensures departmental compliance and organizational success.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field required. MBA, PharmD or Bachelor's degree in pharmacy preferred.
Work Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in sourcing or other related field, preferably in a healthcare setting, including a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated responsible experience in a management position. Offset: 3 years of experience in Supply Chain or Pharmacy either as Category manager or Project Management where leading people is a key component may offset required management experience.
