This position will be working in the Outpatient Infusion Center. The Pharmacy is looking for a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist.
Under the supervision of the Clinical Pharmacy Manager, the Clinical Pharmacist Specialist role is the providing of evidence-based collaborative patient-centered care to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center patients. This position optimizes medication therapy by championing and developing system-wide strategies that lead to desired clinical outcomes while reducing/minimizing unintended adverse drug events and cost. This position requires a high level of interaction with physicians, nurses, patients, other health care providers, as well as pharmacy management in problem solving and project interaction.
Develops and maintains a clinical pharmacy practice.
Collects, organizes, and analyzes data related to medication use and clinical pharmacy practices and disseminates this information to relevant parties as necessary.
Provides continuing education and staff development in-services for pharmacists and other health care providers.
Critically reviews medical literature to provide updates on drug therapy.
Works collaboratively with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to develop programs/guidelines that improve clinical pharmacy practice and patient outcomes.
Participates in institutional, local, regional, and national committees as appropriate.
Precepts pharmacy students and residents.
Develops and participates in research activities.
Participates in preparation of drug monographs and therapeutic substitutions.
Participates in poster presentations and publications in institutional and peer reviewed journals.
Work as a staff pharmacist when needed.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and proven success in developing, implementing clinical pharmacy services
Demonstrated skill in leading, mentoring, and training pharmacy and healthcare staff
Demonstrated skill in collaborating with prescribers to achieve desired outcomes
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an ACPE accredited pharmacy school
Completed PGY1 pharmacy residency from an ASHP accredited residency program or at least 3 years of experience precepting pharmacy residents
BCPS certification or demonstration of advanced clinical specialty knowledge/experience evidenced by obtaining ASHP or ACCP specialty board certifications
Licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in Wyoming
Current preceptor license in Wyoming
Completion of ACLS within 6 months of hire
Three years clinical experience with focus in orientation, training, and adult education
Experience working in an Outpatient Infusion Center
Experience in all pharmacy aspects working with Chemotherapy, biological and other common outpatient infusion pharmaceuticals
Currently a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) in good standing
Familiar with creating and maintaining therapy protocols
Familiar with ordering and maintaining pharmacy inventory levels
