Responsible for delivery ticket fulfillment, labeling and packaging medications appropriately, entering information into computer systems and transferring packages to shipping area. Responsible for the receipt of all products from vendors including inventory and supplies. Place in appropriate location and data enter in computer system. Maintain appropriate stock level of drugs and supplies. Responsible for infusion and enteral equipment including cleaning, stocking and tracking. Maintain order and cleanliness of warehouse and home infusion shipping and receiving area. Assist Materials Supervisor with materials duties as assigned. Participate in process improvement initiatives.
Cordinate deliveries and communicate effectively to ensure both patient and business needs are met:
Act as liaison with FPS shipping department
Coordinate, plan and schedule package preparation and deliveries with respect to efficiency, time, and priority
Complete all documentation, both electronic and paper, necessary for tracking purposes
Receive recalled deliveries and transfer to appropriate pharmacy team member.
Process voided delivery tickets appropriately
Delivery ticket fulfillment:
Select appropriate supplies according to delivery ticket specifications
Ensure that all supply items have been double checked
Make sure all delivery tickets are accurate and accounted for
Identify errors and follow up with the appropriate staff
Ensure pharmacist check of drug
Package medications as necessary to ensure safe handling and appropriate temperature control for identified delivery method
Label medications with prescription labels and ancillary labels
Maintain appropriate stock levels :
Receive products from various vendors
Verify items against packing slips
Place received product appropriately in warehouse, rotates current stock
Handle items appropriately according to storage instructions, etc.
Maintain appropriate stock levels at all times.
Evaluate dates to use unexpired inventory; remove expired inventory appropriately
Deliver items to appropriate individuals or business units
Evaluate par levels for appropriateness and provide recommendation if changes are necessary
Cleaning, maintenance and tracking of infusion and enteral pumps.
Comply with regulatory standards
Ensure all records are up to date and accurate.
Follow up on unreturned equipment
Maintain accurate inventory records:
Update and audit electronic inventory files
Complete delivery ticket and prescription adjustments
Complete cycle counts of inventory items
Review computer records and reconcile inventory to ensure accuracy
Maintain expired product audits
Coordinating Hazardous Waste management for FPS:
Ensure proper storage of hazardous waste
Ensure proper documentation records
Maintain work areas in proper order:
Comply with regulatory standards
Clean carts, bins and work tables
Stock patient and packaging supplies
Dispose of cardboard, break down boxes
High School Diploma/GED
Vocational/technical training/Associate Degree
MN State Board registered Pharmacy Tech or pending registration (required prior to day 1)
One year previous pharmacy or procurement experience.
