Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health, which is distinguished throughout the Southeastern United States for its excellent patient care and medical expertise. Also situated on the main campus at CMC are Levine Cancer Institute's academic and research headquarters, Carolinas Rehabilitation, and Levine Children's Hospital. CMC serves as the region’s only Level 1 Trauma center and is an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas and liver. We also serve as one of North Carolina’s five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, providing medical residency training for more than 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serve as a satellite for the medical school at University of North Carolina (UNC)-Chapel Hill. CMC is affiliated with five colleges of pharmacy (University of North Carolina, Wingate University, University of South Carolina, Medical University of South Carolina, and Highpoint University) and offers PGY1 Pharmacy Practice, PGY2 Infectious Diseases and PGY2 Oncology... pharmacy residency programs.
Levine Cancer Institute (LCI) is the largest regional cancer and blood and marrow transplant center. With more than 25 cancer care locations, and over 200 cancer physicians, we provide access to top-ranked physician expertise, groundbreaking clinical trials and the latest cancer treatments across the Carolinas to more than 11,000 patients each year. LCI has a FACT-accredited adult blood and marrow transplant unit, staffed by nationally recognized physicians. LCI’s phase 1 clinical trials units provides access to the newest, most innovative therapies and cancer treatment options available. Specialized services include:
