Children’s Wisconsin (CW) (formerly Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin) is a 298-bed acute care pediatric teaching hospital in Milwaukee, WI. CW is located on the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center Campus with Froedtert Hospital, the Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin, Children’s Research Institute, the Curative Care Network, and is affiliated with the Medical College of Wisconsin and Medical College of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy. CW is a tertiary care hospital with a Level 1 trauma center that receives over 1,000 trauma admissions per year, and is the largest Level 4 NICU in the state of Wisconsin. CW has an internationally recognized and FACT-JACIE accredited hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) program and a Children’s Oncology Group Center (COG). CW is a center for heart, liver, and kidney transplantation; performs around 400 cardiac procedures per year; and is the only pediatric hospital in Wisconsin to be nationally accredited by the Pulmonary Hypertension Association as a Center of Comprehensive Care. The pharmacy department provides centralized distributive services 24 hours a day and has decentralized pharmacists in acute care units, intensive care units, and limited ambulatory clinics.
