Inpatient Pharmacist Operations Supervisors are registered pharmacists who assume responsibility and accountability for the operations of their assigned area in the inpatient pharmacy. This will require daily interactions with all pharmacists and pharmacy technicians working in their designated area.  Frequent collaboration with Director of Inpatient-Adult and Assistant Director of Comer Children’s pharmacy to plan and provide optimal operations workflow to achieve the highest level of patient care.  As an inpatient pharmacy operations supervisor, you will be responsible to make sure your area is adequately staffed, hold pharmacy employees accountable for the work being done in your assigned area, ensure correct regulatory procedures are being followed, and understand all aspects of the workflow of the area that you are in charge of supervising.  We have positions available to be in charge of operations in sections of either Comer pharmacy operations, CCD pharmacy operations, the sterile compounding room operations, or Narcotic distribution and diversion prevention operations.

Required:

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact constructively with supervisors, peers, and support personnel.
• Initiative and creativity for problem solving and pro-active improvement of pharmacy operations.
• Eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Illinois or eligible (complete licensure process within 28 days of employment).

Preferred:

• Hospital pharmacy experience.
• Lean six sigma training
