Incumbent is responsible for all administrative and professional pharmacy services for a medical center. Incumbent directs, controls, coordinates, plans, implements and monitors all activities of that service line. Duties will include: Clinical: Develops and maintains pertinent clinical pharmacy programs designed to maximize pharmacotherapeutic benefits from patient outcome and cost perspectives. Identifies problems that affect patient care programs and effectively utilizes problem-solving techniques to resolve those problems. Develops pertinent medical center or service procedures/standards for implementation. Functions as a voting member and secretary of the Alaska VAHS Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and is responsible for implementing decisions of the committee.
