About University of Charleston School of Pharmacy
The University of Charleston (www.ucwv.edu) is located in the state capital of West Virginia amid magnificent mountains and rivers, with a panoramic view of the Capitol building across the Kanawha River. UC offers a professional education in a liberal arts setting to some 1300 undergraduate students and over 360 graduate students. The School of Pharmacy was established in 2006 and currently is home to approximately 300 students with a class size of approximately 80 students.
The University of Charleston School of Pharmacy boasts many interesting and distinctive assets, including:
•The School of Pharmacy has an onsite, faculty driven medication & disease management clinic. Faculty members participate in direct patient care activities, community outreach and teaching of pharmacy students in the clinic.
•The School of Pharmacy supports a Pharmacy Practice and Community Care residency program providing experience in the development and justification of clinic practice, and academic training through a teaching certificate program.
