Overview

St. Luke's Health System in Boise is seeking a Lead Pharmacist to join our Specialty Pharmacy

team in support of Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as functional lead for pharmacy services of specialty practice area based on interest, experience and assignment
• Coordinate closely with pediatric specialists and providers to improve patient care
• Serve as a specialty pharmacy team member and provide liaison specialty pharmacy services
• Works collaboratively within organization structures to improve medication use outcomes
• Mentor and train staff
• Precept students and residents for learning experiences
• Design and implement pharmacy operational processes for practice area
• Coordinate practice activities under the direction of overall departmental leadership
• May serve as an evaluator of staff within team
• If specialty certification is available obtain board certification from the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties within 2 years
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Idaho Pharmacist License required
• Two (2) years' experience required
  • MBA or Residency in lieu of 2 years experience
• Pediatric Experience preferred

Additionally, we have a Level IV NICU and a 13-bed PICU, the first in the state of Idaho. St. Luke's Children's Hospital is also developing a pediatric trauma program.
