The Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy is seeking a highly motivated, creative team-orientated individual with for full-time, calendar year, appointment stream faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The successful applicant will have their primary efforts focused on providing comprehensive pharmacy services and patient care for patients on the Internal Medicine service at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Experience with medication protocol development, direct patient care including participation in consult and hospital initiatives, and patient focused research is expected. The incumbent is also expected to support the professional curriculum, including large and small classroom teaching with active learning techniques such as simulation learning and other techniques. The faculty member will also serve as a preceptor for students, residents, and other trainees. The ideal candidate will have a PharmD and a minimum of three years of experience in general medicine, internal medicine, pharmacotherapy or geriatrics; and residency and/or fellowship training. Board certification is highly desired. Other qualifications and experiences will be considered. Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.  Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
