Fulltime, Clinical Pharmacist, Rotating, Decentralized. 8 hour shifts, rotating

We are recruiting for a full-time pharmacist to provide decentralized pharmacy services for adult and pediatric patients with specialized training and experience in area of antimicrobial stewardship. Under the auspices of the clinical/operations manager, the clinical pharmacist is responsible for

• Assuring the needs of patients are met through the prompt and accurate delivery of medications
• Supervising the work of supportive personnel, including interns and students
• Reviewing patient medication profiles for appropriateness of therapy
• Performing clinical/pharmaceutical interventions on behalf of the patient
• Acting as drug information resource to patients, medical and nursing staff and ancillary department personnel
• Actively participating in department performance improvement initiatives, daily multi-disciplinary rounds, and clinical meetings
• Designing policies and procedures for safe and cost effective therapy for patients
• Establishing relationships with pharmacy, nursing and medical staff

Clinical Pharmacist may be required to assume responsibilities of a pharmacy supervisor/charge-supervisor and performs other duties as assigned. Growth opportunity is available and encouraged.

Education

• Required: Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy
• Preferred: Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree

Experience

• Required: Basic computer skills
• Preferred: Previous hospital and clinical experience in an acute setting, interpersonal and leadership skills, and good organizational skills

Certifications

• Required: Current registered pharmacist license in the State of Florida
• Preferred: PGY1 Residency or Infectious Disease Pharmacy PGY2 Residency
