In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.
*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.
Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.

The mission of the Division of Pharmacy Services parallels the ultimate purpose of the health center: "Leadership in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure of cancer and associated diseases through excellence, vision, and cost-effectiveness in patient care, outreach programs, research, and education." As a support service of the hospital, our primary existence and function are based on a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care in all phases of development (geriatric, adult, and pediatric), with dedication and concern. The professional staff, as well as the technical/support staff, performs with the highest regard for the patients they serve by continually considering cost-containment once therapeutic efficiency and safety are established.
The Pharmacy Department at MSK utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, where the emphasis is on therapeutic efficacy and safety. We deliver comprehensive, clinical, and dispensing services in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings through a decentralized satellite pharmacy services model.
We are seeking an Evening Staff Pharmacist to join our ICU team at our Main Campus location. This pharmacist will primarily assist the Rapid Response Team.
You are:
- Highly motivated to work well independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a demanding environment
- A fast learner and able to evaluate new information with speed and accuracy.
- Detail-oriented and willing to adapt to changes in workflows to improve patient care.
- Flexible, resourceful and able to make sound decisions, even in the absence of complete information
You will:
- Support the Code/RRT team.
- Have an active role in making clinical interventions and working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist with the normal range of operational and clinical activities for the Pharmacy Department
- Cover other inpatient areas, namely ICU, pending departmental needs
You have:
- NY State Pharmacy license
- 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacist in hospital setting
- Prior experience in Intensive Care Unit and/or Emergency Department highly preferred
- Completion of PGY-1 residency and/or Critical Care Board Certification (BCCCP) are preferred
- Good interpersonal and communication skills is a requirement.
Hours:
- 3:30pm to 11:30pm Monday thru Friday, one weekend per month pending departmental needs
