Pharmacist Coordinator – Pharmacy Supply Chain

Provides clinical pharmaceutical care to patients. Serves as expert, professional resource to service areas and Pharmacy Department. Serves as a team leader in a designated area of practice and will be responsible for mentoring and developing employees. Work requires strong clinical skills, detailed knowledge of hospital processes/operations, and the application and interpretation of federal and Commonwealth statutes, laws, and regulations. In addition, work requires understanding and application of professional practice, organizational, and departmental policies, standards, and procedures.

• Coordinates the staff and operations of the pharmacy supply chain.
• Ensures appropriate purchasing, inventory management, supply chain operations, and regulatory compliance for procurement of pharmaceuticals.
• Responsible for pharmacy supply chain across the Pharmacy Department.
• Works collaboratively across teams and departments to support and maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies, supply chain regulatory compliance, and supply chain integrity.
• Partners with other stakeholders to identify and mitigate drug shortages.
• Provides oversight to the Pharmacy Requisition operation by working with clinics, research labs, and grants for drug purchasing and distribution of medications.
• Coordinator will participate in problem solving and ongoing process improvement efforts across the pharmacy supply chain operation.
• Supports educational mission through training of pharmacy residents, students, and pharmacy technician trainees and continuous professional growth.
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $52.46 - $83.94 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor's degree.
• Experience: PGY-1 required or 3 years of equivalent hospital experience.
• Licensure: Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License. BLS required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing and traveling for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull <20 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals.
