Internal Medicine, Field Medical Outcomes and Analytics – Pfizer (2-year, 1 position)
PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY FELLOWSHIP – Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, offers innovative post-PharmD fellowships that provide extensive training in the pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical industry. This 2-year fellowship position is a joint effort between Rutgers and Pfizer. The Internal Medicine, Field Medical Outcomes and Analytics (IM, Medical O&A) Fellowship will offer a headquarters experience during year one with the IM, Medical O&A Therapeutic Area Leads such as Women’s Health, COVID-19 and Cardiovascular/Metabolic Diseases. Year 2 will provide a field IM, Medical O&A experience. This unique fellowship will integrate headquarters, field-based and national customer-facing roles focused on improving the quality of patient care by impacting population health at a system level through provision of patient and provider education, improving adherence and engagement in disease management in which Pfizer Internal Medicine has an interest. IM, Medical O&A colleagues also provide medical information to enhance formulary decision-making, ensuring patient access to Pfizer medicines. The fellow will have opportunities to develop diverse capabilities and skills in communications, internal and external stakeholder management, strategic brand and account planning, resource development, and analytics, as well as field customer interactions that are aligned with Pfizer Medical Affairs’ Senior Manager roles or transferable to other traditional pharmaceutical industry roles, including field and brand medical roles.
University-based experiences include a Professional Development Series; opportunities for collaborative research, publication, and teaching; and participating/leading Rutgers Fellowship committees. These Fellowships provide a broad professional development opportunity in both corporate and academic environments to promote the role of Pharm.D.’s in the pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical industry as future leaders.
