Graduates of this PGY2 Internal Medicine Pharmacy Residency will be able to make complex evidence-based medication recommendations and support their future institution through committee involvement as a subject matter expert in internal medicine. They will have gained experience in a variety of disease states with a strong focus on anticoagulation, diabetes and insulin management, antibiotic stewardship, respiratory diseases and transitions of care. Graduates will be experienced in short-term research in one or more care environments and will excel in their ability to teach other health professionals and trainees.

Interested candidates must have a degree from an accredited college of pharmacy (PharmD), have completed or currently be completing an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)-accredited PGY1 residency program and be eligible for or have current licensure in South Carolina. The South Carolina MPJE must be passed by July 1 prior to starting residency so that the resident can attend the July S.C. Board of Pharmacy meeting for license reciprocation.
