As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be responsible for interpreting and entering prescription data in our pharmacy system, answering incoming calls and completing outbound calls to / from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximized productivity. This role is equally challenging and rewarding. You’ll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details / clinical information. It’s a fast paced, high volume environment where our members are counting on us to deliver these important, sometimes life – saving medications in an accurate and efficient manner.

Verify appropriate and accurate patient information
Enter prescription data into pharmacy system
Contact patients, pharmacists, and providers to resolve issues
Other assignments and projects as needed
Maintain proficiency and quality as standardized by the department

High School Diploma / GED
Current Pharmacy Technician Florida state license without restrictions
Intermediate experience with computer navigation and Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint
Must be flexible to work between the hours of 7 AM to 7 PM local time Monday through Friday. Shift will be consistent once determined. Overtime may be required on weekdays and weekends as needed.
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT or NHA)
Specialty pharmacy experience
1+ years of Pharmacy experience
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
