Position Description: The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital is recruiting highly motivated Inpatient Clinical Generalist Pharmacists to provide pharmaceutical care for inpatient and surgical hematology/oncology patients and/or critical care patients. In the inpatient setting, the Clinical Generalist Pharmacists evaluate and approve new drug orders, respond to drug information questions, recommend and plan clinically appropriate drug therapy, complete pharmacokinetic and therapeutic consults, round with an inter-disciplinary team if applicable, oversee and verify drug dispensing, and participate in emergency response coverage. All Inpatient Clinical Generalists must successfully be granted and maintain applicable pharmacy privileges through the OSUWMC medical staff. TPN and chemotherapy training may be required. Additional responsibilities include providing experiential training for pharmacy students and participation in the training of pharmacy residents. PGY1 residency training is preferred but not required. The patient population includes adult and geriatric patients. Practice site may include a combination of The James Inpatient Cancer Hospital, OSUWMC Critical Care Satellite Pharmacy, James Operating Room Pharmacy, and The James West Campus Outpatient Surgery Center.

The James Inpatient Generalist Team also services around 100 critical care beds, which include the neurosciences ICU, surgical oncology ICU, medical hematology/oncology ICU, and general medical ICU.
