Pharmacists completing a residency at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital will be confident, considerate, and capable providers to pediatrics in a multitude of healthcare environments. Required rotations include: NICU I/II general pediatrics, advanced general pediatrics, PICU, medication safety, infectious disease, research and administration. Elective rotations may include: emergency medicine, academia, and obstetrics/gynecology. Other residency activities include completing a research project suitable for publication, a medication use evaluation, and development of a new pediatric pharmacy service.
We are located in the Tampa Bay Area and offer a variety of specialty services including a Level III NICU, PICU, general pediatrics, newborn nursery, and a dedicated pediatric emergency center. In addition, we have the only Aero digestive program in the Tampa Bay area, combining pulmonary, gastroenterology, and ENT specialists for each case. All Children's Specialty Physicians are on-site 24/7 providing care in our NICU and general pediatrics floor. Off-site learning experiences are available in collaboration with Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and University of South Florida College of Pharmacy.
Pharm.D degree, Florida licensure eligibility, PGY-1 or equivalent experience, academic transcript, CV, and 3 professional references/evaluations submitted via PhORCAS.
