West Virginia University (WVU) Hospitals’ Department of Pharmacy has an opening for a full-time ambulatory care clinical pharmacist providing care in the WVU Medicine Heart and Vascular Institute in Morgantown, WV. The pharmacist will support providers in clinic and provide direct patient care services through provider-to-pharmacist referrals and collaborative practice agreements, allowing the pharmacist to practice at the top of their license. This pharmacist will have a mix of independently scheduled patient visits as well as collaborative visits with other providers. Clinical areas will include lipid clinic and general cardiology with the cardiology fellows group. Other daily activities will include precepting students and residents, participating in quality improvement initiatives and committees, and working closely with the Department of Pharmacy to ensure high quality patient care.
