This position is for an Ambulatory Oncology Clinical Pharmacist that will have the opportunity to care for Ambulatory patients with solid tumor cancers requiring surgical intervention. This pharmacist will service ambulatory patients receiving care at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center (MBRCC) and West Virginia University Hospital (WVUH). Daily activities will include: supporting oncologists and other providers in medication therapy management of patients receiving ambulatory treatment, educating patients and clinical staff, precepting students and residents, and participating in oncology, ambulatory care, and pharmacy related committees. This pharmacist will work closely with our 13 Ambulatory Oncology Clinical Specialists, Inpatient Heme Malignancy Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Inpatient Solid Tumor Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, our Investigational Drug Pharmacists, nurses, and providers.
WV Pharmacist Licensure within 90 days of start. BLS certification within 60 days of hire. Required work experience:
Completion of a PGY-2 Residency in an applicable clinical field OR;
Completion of a PGY-1 Residency AND Board Certified in an applicable clinical field OR;
Completion of a PGY-1 Residency AND three years of relevant pharmacist experience OR;
Three years of relevant pharmacist experience AND Board Certified in an applicable clinical field
