Medical, vision, and dental insurance is provided through Providence Health and Services for residents and family members living in their home. Residents receive basic life insurance along with long and short term disability free of charge. Residents receive 35 days of paid vacation that includes sick time and holidays. Holidays include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July (excluding participation at Camp Stix), Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Residents receive reimbursement for ASHP study materials for the BCACP, the BCACP exam, and travel expenses to ASHP Midyear and the Western States Residency Conference.

The purpose of Providence Medical Group'sPGY2 pharmacy residency program is to build on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and PGY1 pharmacy residency programs to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists in specialized areas of practice. Our program provide residents with opportunities to function independently as practitioners by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporating both into the provision of patient care or other advanced practice settings. Residents who successfully complete our program and are prepared for advanced patient care, academic, or other specialized positions, along with board certification in ambulatory care.
Residency Special Features: Residents complete 15 months of clinical longitudinal rotations in our teaching, internal medicine, and high risk pregnancy clinics with elective block rotations at different clinics included throughout the year. Residents will also complete a longitudinal quality improvement project, participate in population health efforts, participate in the centralized refill service, and sit for their BCACP board certification exam. The program covers the expense of ASHP study materials and the exam fee.
Matched applicants are required to go through traditional HR screening including but not limited to a background check and drug screen. Providence employees must remain compliant with federal COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
