The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is called upon to directly manage mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar, schizophrenia, insomnia, as well as substance use disorders, among others. The incumbent will direct medication therapy by initiating, modifying and discontinuing medication therapy in the mental health clinic setting. The MH CPS is fully integrated into their interdisciplinary team, holds a broad scope of practice and is credentialed as a midlevel provider.
