WVU Medicine Children’s is a 155-bed free-leaning children’s hospital located on campus with the academic flagship hospital. The Post Graduate Year 1 Residency (PGY1) is a 12-month curriculum that offers opportunities in acute care, ambulatory care, medication management, practice-related education, and practice management. The individual experiences are structured to meet the needs and career aspirations of the resident. Residents are required to complete rotations in core areas essential to pediatric pharmacy practice including General Pediatrics, Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Intensive Care, Pediatric Oncology, Adult Internal Medicine, and Adult Critical Care.
