Description: UK HealthCare is seeking two highly-motivated full-time pharmacists for a clinical pharmacist position with a trauma and emergency surgery focus as well as a specialty surgery focus (colorectal, vascular, orthopedic, and surgical oncology) at UK HealthCare in Lexington, Kentucky. The clinical pharmacist will provide pharmacy services to the assigned surgical team based on scheduling needs with a focus on the following services: emergency general surgery ICU, trauma ICU, emergency general surgery step-down unit, colorectal, vascular, orthopedic, and surgical oncology services. The pharmacist makes clinical interventions in terms of patient education, clinical pharmacokinetic/anti-coagulation monitoring, drug information, cost-effective care analysis, direct patient care through interdisciplinary rounds, and interacting with pharmacy residents and students.
