Medical Center is a teaching hospital where pharmacists are a vital part of the interdisciplinary team and daily patient medical rounds. Pharmacists are de-centralized and integrated completely into the following services: internal medicine, family medicine, critical care, trauma/surgery, NICU/pediatrics, transitions of care, and emergency medicine. Our pharmacists make numerous evidence-based medication recommendations which are frequently accepted. We have a robust preceptor group with extensive precepting experience. Most of our pharmacy preceptors are board certified, residency trained, or both.
